Meet Anna, our home office client (a true story)
Anna*, a freelance writer on the South Shore, runs a small
business from her home. Each day, despite her best efforts
at organization, she becomes lost in the clutter that surrounds
her. Overflowing drawers, a desk covered with a mountain of
paper and a severe case of the stickies is causing her to
lose valuable time. Her household papers and bills are sprawled
on the floor and she cannot find her checkbook to pay an overdue
bill. The mess is stifling her creativity, jeopardizing her
home, and risking her financial independence. While searching
for her checkbook, Anna discovers an ad she tore out of her
south of Boston newspaper months ago and gives Laine’s
Logic a call.
Meet & Assessment
Our
first meeting with Anna is a 30 minute, no obligation
consultation. It provides an opportunity to meet and
discuss Anna’s concerns. Discussion revolves around
the positives that are working, Anna’s habits
and routines, and an assessment of her organizational
problem areas. With Laine’s non-judgmental approach
and practical solutions, Anna envisions her organized
office and makes an appointment to get started.

Plan
On
the day of the appointment Laine discusses the action
plan that she has created based on Anna’s situation.
Our step-by-step approach suggests organizational systems
based on Anna’s natural learning style and preferences.
We believe that when an organizational system fits your
natural learning style, it is easier to maintain.
|
Organize
We
guide Anna through the steps of the process and cover
organizing principles and concepts along the way. As
we work together, Anna is excited and relieved to finally
make decisions that she has been putting off. Her new
system for storing ideas for future articles has liberated
her creativity and filled her with energy.
|
Follow - Up
It generally takes 21 days to change a habit or to establish a new one. A follow up phone call 2-4 weeks after completing the project answers any questions and provides suggestions to fine-tune any organizing systems if needed. Anna uses her new maintenance plan to keep her office organized. She now uses her time productively and is energized by her new workspace.
With time and support, a new system can provide
multiple rewards: It can save time and energy, increase
productivity, stop procrastination, improve finances,
control paper and reduce stress, just to name a few.
