Daryl,
That's a great idea for managing your daily to dos. I like how you added the reasoning piece to it. I am sure it provides more motivation to get the job done. Thanks for the comment.

Hi Laine,

I'm glad you found a system that works for you. I like creating stuff, so I created a custom form that I print on a 3x5 and use in my Hipster PDA. That is how I manage my daily to-dos.

I'm planning on creating another form to record to-dos that I don't intend on doing until another day (keeping my mind RAM free of things I won't be doing soon). Great post. I look forward to reading more.

Hi, Laine.

I can't believe that I am able to keep my computer email account and files organized! Success! I check my email almost every day and I manage to clear it at that time. I try to read what I need to and delete what I don't want.

I create file folders as I need them if I find that I have groups of related emails from either the same people or subject matter. After a few months I go through the files and delete what I really don't have use for. All in all I'm doing well in this area. And I have begun going through my sent file to delete emails that have been sent a while back.

Now I just have to catch up with weeks one and two. I have read the blogs. I have my file folders and have decided on the file names. Now it's time to go through my papers and toss what I don't need. I am such a pack rat!!

Take care and thanks for your ideas in helping me organize my paper.

Thanks for the plug. Sounds as if you made the best of the situation regardless of the weather. Better than sitting around in a funk all day lamenting what's going on outside! :)

You know, whether you are a business owner or managing a home or just trying to keep your work/home life organized, The two minute miracle works great! I have done it to keep my work desk organized, or set the timer at home to tackle boring jobs and more.

I have even tackled major jobs by putting on some music, setting the timer for a designated time and just getting it done. Making it a game raises your spirits and makes it fun. You feel so free afterward.

The big thing here is that a cluttered, unorganized life steals your daily energy. Every time you walk by something that needs doing, it takes your thought and intention away from meaningful tasks at hand. It clogs up the flow of life.

Laine, I like your LOGIC! You're full of common sense and I like that.

Laine,

This is a great looking website. I always find inspiration in what you write. You are very talented- ever think of creating a book? Start planning it.
